The CEO of Educational Development and Innovation, Fernando Wardrobe, opens tomorrow in Sewell (10:00 pm in the Auditorium of the IES Francisco Salzillo, Museum Street Huerta, 20) the First Meeting of School Choirs' Cantemus ', in which the choirs will perform from 16 secondary schools in the region.
The event will be attended by the mayor of the municipality, Lazarus Mellado, and the Councillor for Education, Josefa Santos.
The Ministry of Education, Science and Research Network is organizing the School Choirs of the Region of Murcia 'Cantemus' for the purpose of carrying out activities of the choirs existing in the schools of the Community and at the same time, encourage creation of new choirs in schools interested in this program.
With this entertaining and educational initiative, which coordinates the General Educational Development and Innovation, is expected to enhance the knowledge of the music in all its facets and develop teamwork.
After the performance of the 16 choirs from high schools, there will be a final joint intervention with these students and schools interested in joining the Network, which will total some 500 voices, responsible for closing this meeting, which has a great success of participation and a warm welcome from colleagues, parents, teachers and educational authorities.
The ratio of participating choirs is as follows: IES Alcántara, Sewer, IES Aljada, Bacons Bridge, IES Antonio Hellín Costa, Puerto de Mazarrón, IES Cañada de Las Eras, Molina de Segura, IES Dos Mares, San Pedro del Pinatar, IES The hut, Cartagena, IES El Carmen, Murcia, Francisco Ros IES Giner, Lorca, IES Francisco Salzillo, Sewer, IES Junterón Gil, Beniel; IES Jiménez de la Espada, Cartagena, IES Graduate Cascales, Murcia, IES Romano Garcia, Lorquí; IES Saavedra Fajardo, Murcia, IES San Isidro, Cartagena, and IES Sierra Minera, La Union.
