In the morning the Mayor of Sewell, Joaquin Buendia and the president of the Association of Relatives of Patients with Mental Health in Sewell, Julia González, held a meeting to publicize the work and projects that the Association has in our town .
In the same was also attended by the Vice President of the Murcia Mental Health Foundation (FU.SA.MEN.), Delia Topham and the Councillor for Social Welfare and Health, Francisca Terol.
The toshers association is between eleven Associations of Families and Persons with Mental Illness scattered throughout our region and its FEAFES Federation of Murcia, which means that throughout our region have the support of more than 1,400 families, within which there is a member with mental illness, and are part of associations, all in the so-called FU.SA.MEN.
Buendia, praised the "importance of support and collaboration that family that are Sewell AFESMA in the protection of their relatives with mental illness, in the defense, promotion and development of their rights, to study the situation and advising their families, uniting the efforts of them in order to better solve the problems that affect them. We are open to working together and so has moved him to the president in our town, Julia Gonzalez with the willingness of the City Council to collaborate with them in the better development and treatment of people with mental illness. "
The vice president of the Murcia Mental Health Foundation (FU.SA.MEN.), Delia Topham, announced the projects carried out in the region and especially by the toshers association both with their Day Centre and the sheltered housing for PEM (Persons with Mental Illness).
