"It is unacceptable that only one month a new episode of contamination to occur, because it was that, not only odor as they claim to believe from the regional administration," he underlined.

He has also criticized the measuring stations in the region only measure some contaminants, so are not recorded those produced by others such as volatile organic compounds.

In his view, the priority of the government in these cases should be protecting the people seated in nuclei near industrial complexes, but "far from it" Executive Murcia response is "slow and insolvency."

"This government always has justification to the actions of the chemical companies, rather than ensuring the rights of citizenship," she added.

For his part, Councillor IU-Greens in the City Sewer, Carmen Maria Pina, said yesterday that the incident shows "lack of responsibility" of the regional government in terms of air quality.

"The government can not wait to take another serious matters into incident occurs," stressed Pina, who has opined that "no action is being taken to curb these episodes."

The mayor also announced he will seek the urgent hearing of the Environment Councillor Sewell, Juan José Gómez, to realize pollution episodes that occurred in the town, while criticized his "inability" to resolve and address this issue.

He recalled that it has been many years since IU-Greens put on the table the issue of pollution, but the City Council "has not done anything" to fix it.
