The first National Congress of School and Social Coexistence begins in Alcantarilla (26/04/2018)

Tomorrow Friday at 9:30 am at the Cultural Center "Infanta Elena" will begin the first National Congress of School and Social Coexistence, to be held in Sewer on April 27 and 28, at the inauguration of the same will be present the mayor de Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía and the general director of Attention to Diversity and Educational Quality, Esperanza Moreno, together with the Councilor for Education, Juan Manuel Gómez, as well as the director of the School of Training and Innovation of Public Administration of the Region of Murcia, Francisco Saavedra.

The Congress is organized by the Alcantarilla City Council, together with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports;

and the School of Training and Innovation of Public Administration of the Region of Murcia, with the collaboration of the publishing houses SM, SANTILLANA, EDELVIVES and the CAJAMURCIA FOUNDATION.

"THE RESPONSIBLE CHALLENGE OF SCHOOL AND SOCIAL COEXISTENCE", with this slogan, the Town Hall of Alcantarilla, the University of Murcia and the School of Training and Innovation of Public Administration of the Region of Murcia, with the collaboration of SM, Santillana publishing houses , Edelvives and the Cajamurcia Foundation, we will carry out these two days of Congress, at the Infanta Elena de Alcantarilla Cultural Center.

The objectives of the Congress are to show the close link between coexistence and school success and the importance of the processes of teaching and learning to coexist that favor the acquisition of social and civic competence and contribute to the integral formation of the person.

As well as promoting strategies and presenting available tools and resources for diagnosis, the promotion of coexistence, the prevention and management of conflicts and evaluation, as well as intervention procedures on school coexistence.

And finally, show and share experiences and innovative methods that favor the acquisition of basic skills related to coexistence.

The question would be, Why? Because it is essential to have a positive school climate and peaceful coexistence so that participatory and shared educational processes can be lived in our centers.

But the problem of school coexistence has many facets that need to be addressed on many fronts.

It is necessary and indispensable to deepen the educational dialogue and collective knowledge by disseminating the progress made by the professionals of Education.

The congress is aimed at the students of last year and post-graduate of the University of Murcia;

Faculty of the Region of Murcia;

Personnel of the public administrations of the Region of Murcia and Mothers and Parents of Sewer.

The local representation will be provided by the CEIP Campoamor de Alcantarilla, which will have a session in which they will present their experience in the "Cuenta Conmigo" project, a program aimed at improving school coexistence and preventing violence in educational centers.

As well as the Samaniego Teaching Center, which also participates in the Cuenta Conmigo project, it also developed its own emotional intelligence project, whose objective is to develop fundamental emotional and social skills for school coexistence.
