Play Factory unleashes Sewer among young passion for robotics in the I Championship Challenge 2016 Robotix Murcia-Alicante (05/06/2016)

More than 400 children and adolescents between 4 and 16 years of Murcia and Alicante have participated in the tournament organized in Sewell, which has demonstrated the interest of future generations by automation and technology, and reward the winning teams in the categories convened.

Following the success of this type of testing different parts of the world, the region of Murcia has hosted the celebration of the First Championship Robotix 2016, which has organized Play Factory to transmit to society the enthusiasm of future generations robotics and foster between practicing values ​​such as teamwork, collaboration, leadership, self-confidence and overcoming.

The tournament has been attended by over 1,000 people, including participants and enthusiasts constructions and robotics Lego pieces from Murcia and Alicante.

The conclusion of the test and the awards ceremony took place at the Sports Pavilion Faust Vicent, Sewer, which was attended by the mayor of Sewell, Joaquín Buendía Gómez, Sports Councilman Antonio Martinez Grin, coordinator Congress of Educational Research and Innovation in Education and Primary and professor at the Faculty of Education, Javier J. Maquilon Sanchez, head of training and the College of Industrial Engineers of Murcia, Ramon Martinez.

The competition has had 400 participants, distributed in more than 70 teams that have presented to the Robotix I categories, which has hosted players 6 and 9, and Robotix II, for players between 10 and 16 years.

In addition, it has had a child group of children between 4 and 5 years, called Robotix 0, which have mounted an exhibition of his creations.

For two hours the equipment category Robotix I have had to present and explain a project that could remedy a problem posed by the organization related to ecology and mechanics.

Meanwhile, groups of people over 10 years have had to face the challenge of programming for missions "Green City" with renewable energy facilities, power plant, wind and dam turbines, so that their robots solve engineering challenges real life related to sustainability in cities.

Contestants have had to draw on their creativity and imagination during the challenge, in addition to practice their skills for teamwork and sharing knowledge about technology, programming and robotics, acquired during the course in the extracurricular activity of Lego Education Robotix given in the region of Murcia and Alicante.

"ROBOTIX is an innovative and creative extracurricular activity that combines education and technology. Children learn through play and fun to build, program and implement robots, provide innovative solutions to the challenges of today and improve English with technical vocabulary software" , stated José Miguel, coordinator of the activity Robotix Lego Education and general organizer of the event.

To complete their knowledge, players have applied their knowledge in 3D printers, video game programming, Scratch and APPS, in child electronics and Arduino electronics, for building robots and electronic systems with Arduino boards and systems.

Awards

The I Championship Robotix Challenge 2016 was awarded in the category Robotix I teams with projects that have excelled in "Research" "Best Building", "More creative and original" and "Best resolution of the problem", while in the category Robotix II, distinctions were awarded to the winning team of the challenge "Green City" and for which he has presented "the best construction of the robot" has more contributed "creativity in solving the challenges" and has raised the "better programming for the challenge."

They have also been given medals to all participants.

The organization of the tournament has been in charge of Play Factory, a company dedicated to training and teaching of extracurricular and curricular classes and official partner of Lego EducationRobotix.
