The mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, received the athletes Sergio López and Pedro Conesa today, both members of the Nutribán Sociedad Atlética team and champions of Spain in various categories. Sergio López was proclaimed champion of Spain Sub23 in 100 and 200 meters outdoors at the end of September and, a week later, Pedro Conesa was proclaimed champion of Spain Sub20 in 10,000 meters walk. Buendía highlighted "the effort and constant work behind the successes of some athletes of great projection, as well as the support and excellent work of the Nutribán Sociedad Atlética de Alcantarilla club". The athletes received from the mayor, as a gift, a commemorative detail from the Museo de la Huerta de Alcantarilla and they presented him with the medals obtained in the last Spanish Athletics Championship, which was held in Vallehermoso, Madrid.
