The mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, has issued a Bando to encourage all residents to decorate the balconies and windows of their homes with the flag of Spain, "as a sign of our deep Spanish sentiment and affection to all those who join this great nation, especially at times like the ones we are experiencing with attacks on the symbols and institutions of our democratic system.
" This initiative is carried out on the occasion of the celebration of the National Holiday Day, next Monday, October 12.
