| Counselor Isabel Franco and Mayor José Joaquín Buendía sign a collaboration agreement to assist 89 dependent people | The Community invests more than 443,000 euros to favor home help for dependent people in Alcantarilla.
In this way, between August 1 of this year and December 31, 2021, at least 89 people dependent on the municipality will be able to carry out their essential activities of daily life and achieve greater personal autonomy. The Murcian Institute of Social Action (Imas) will finance this service with 443,394 euros, while users will contribute 104,006 euros, as it is a mixed system.
Specifically, it is planned that a service of 39,100 hours will be provided for the domestic and personal care of dependents in Sewer. This is reflected in the collaboration agreement recently signed by the vice president and counselor for Women, Equality, LGTBI, Families and Social Policy, Isabel Franco, and the mayor of Alcantarilla, José Joaquín Buendía. Through this Home Help Service, both institutions offer the beneficiaries of this program a set of care and support that makes it easier for them to develop and stay in their homes within their environment for as long as possible. An agreement by which qualified personnel go to the homes of users to assist them in household tasks (cleaning, washing and cooking, among others), and help them with any service related to personal care, all aimed at promoting among the Dependent people adequate habits as they acquire basic skills to carry out activities of daily living.
