| The objective is for residents and visitors to buy in local shops | The Association of Sewer Traders, with the collaboration of the City Council, has launched the "Reactive Sewer" campaign through which they will give away 15,000 euros in discount bonds to buy in shops in the municipality that are part of the Association. Traders have made 1,500 bonds of 10 euros each with the fictitious currency called "Alcoin".
These bonuses will be given away through raffles to be held on the Association's Facebook page.
To participate you have to fill out a form.
The winners of the vouchers will have to make a minimum purchase of 30 euros in any of the shops attached to the Association and will deduct the 10 euros of Alcoin from the voucher. Merchants will be able to put Alcoins back into circulation by buying from Alcantarilla stores or by drawing bonds among their customers. The Councilor for Employment and Commerce, María Dolores Alegría, explained that "this campaign that will last until the end of the year aims to boost sales in businesses in our municipality, and thus help them to get out of the crisis caused by Covid-19" .
The circulation of the bonds will allow citizens to take part in the campaign and get discounts on their purchases. The City Council has granted the Merchants Association a grant of 15,000 euros for the development of this campaign, which is part of the measures that the City Council has launched to reactivate the economy in Sewer after the pandemic.
