Older people of Alcantarilla recall with episodes online videos episodes of their life in the garden within the project "Experiences" (21/05/2020)

The initiative is being disseminated on the Facebook page of the Department, within the activities proposed by the Ethnological Museum of La Huerta to celebrate International Museum Day this week. Hobbies, a photo contest, an animated virtual tour of the museum and music can also be found on the Facebook page.

In addition, associations and educational centers of the municipality collaborate with online videos. International Museum Day is celebrated under the motto "Museums for equality: diversity and inclusion".

With online activities, the aim is for society to view the Huerta Museum not only as a place where heritage is exposed, but also as a space where past and future coexist. The activities will be carried out online on the occasion of the Covid-19 epidemic and guarantee equality, promote participation and active collaboration with different associations and groups.

People who want to participate in any of the proposals may do so through Facebook and email cultura@ayto-alcantarilla.es. The Huerta Museum is open from 10 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 7:30 pm, from Tuesday to Saturday; on Sundays from 10 am to 2 pm, and on Mondays closed.

During Phase 1 of de-escalation, visits are reduced to a third of the allowed capacity and must be individual and limited to the family unit.
