| The Huerta Museum proposes hobbies, contests and music on the Facebook of the Department of Education, Culture and Youth | Alcantarilla celebrates International Museum Day with a week, from May 18 to 24, of online activities that can be found on the Facebook of the Department of Education, Culture and Youth. Online activities are organized by the Ethnological Museum of La Huerta and consist of hobbies, photography contest, lively virtual tour of the museum and music.
The Councilor for Education, Culture and Youth, Marina Lorenzo, explained that "with this celebration it is intended that society see the Museo de la Huerta not only as a place where heritage is acquired, preserved, investigated, communicated and exhibited, but a space where the past and the future coexist because to advance it is necessary to know our roots ". The activities will be carried out online on the occasion of the Covid-19 epidemic and guarantee equality, promote participation and active collaboration with different associations and groups throughout the Region. People who want to participate in any of the proposals may do so through Facebook and email cultura@ayto-alcantarilla.es. The Huerta Museum remains open from 10 a.m.
to 2 p.m.
and from 5 p.m.
to 7:30 p.m., from Tuesday to Saturday; on Sundays from 10 a.m.
to 2 p.m., and on Mondays closed.
Visits are reduced to a third of the allowed capacity and must be individual and limited to the family unit.
