The Department of City Development and Historical Heritage continues to work on the intensive daily cleaning of the streets of Alcantarilla for the disinfection of the most sensitive areas such as proximity to supermarkets, pharmacies, health centers, nursing homes, etc.

The forestry brigade of the Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and the Environment has today reinforced the cleaning work that has been carried out in the municipality since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Ten teams from the forest brigade have cleaned and disinfected several areas of Alcantarilla.

In addition, the means have been increased since the City Council has contracted a 2,000-liter tank with a spray bottle, and several Alcantarilla businessmen have donated their means to help disinfection.

Specifically, Tomás de La Pequena has yielded two 2,000-liter vats with an atomizer, Desarrollos Chuy's has given a 2,000-liter vat with an atomizer, and Copele has given a 350-liter vat with hoses.

For disinfection, in accordance with the indications of the street cleaning procedure dated March 17, 2020, of the Ministry of Health, the roads are flushed with a concentration of sodium hypochlorite (bleach) at 0.10 percent, which is highly antimicrobial and bactericidal, and for the disinfection of surfaces more sensitive to exposure Virucida Deosol is used, in the solution indicated by the manufacturer.
