Alcantarilla continues with the celebrations prior to Holy Week.
The mayor of the city, Joaquín Buendía, participated today in the Tribute to the Nazarene organized by the Board of Brotherhoods and Passionary Brotherhoods of the town.

In the tribute, which was held at the Infanta Elena Cultural Center, the poster announcing the Holy Week 2020, the work of the sewage photographer Paqui Rosique, was presented, and the presidents of the 13 Brotherhoods and Brotherhoods of the Week were recognized Santa de Alcantarilla, the author of the images of the Children's Procession, Fuensanta Hernández Munuera, and the Brotherhood of the Blessed Virgin of the First Pain for her great involvement in this procession.
The prize was also given to the winner of the children's painting contest, Daniela Castro Pacheco, a student of the Colegio Nuestra Señora de la Salud.
The event ended with the appointment of the Brotherhood of Holy Week 2020, which has fallen to Federico Pozuelo Rodrigo, recognized for its close connection to the Nazarene world of Alcantarilla, a member of the Brotherhood of the Holy Christ of Consuelo for 40 years, as well as secretary and advisor to the Brotherhood Board for 20 years.
