The City Council of Alcantarilla has renewed the agreements with the merchants of the supply squares of San Pedro and Campoamor, so that the pleasures continue to develop their activity in these municipal facilities.
The mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, signed the collaboration agreements with the president of the Association of merchants of the supply square of Campoamor, Antonio Hernández, and with the president of the Association of merchants of the supply square of San Pedro, Juan Antonio Rodríguez.
Buendía stressed that "we are committed to local and traditional commerce and with this type of initiatives we encourage Alcantarilla residents to buy fresh produce in the shops of our city, promoting economic promotion and the development of commerce in the municipality."
The merchants occupy the premises of the supply squares under an administrative concession regime, "a formula for citizen participation and awareness since they collaborate in the management and maintenance of the facilities," Buendía said.
The associations of merchants are in charge of performing the tasks of maintenance of civil works and facilities and equipment goods of each of the places, replenish the facilities, cleaning tasks in each of the supply places, pay the amount of supplies, Inform the municipal bodies in the management of the service of the squares and submit proposals to the City Council on the management of the service, as well as keep the two buildings in perfect condition.
The City Council, for its part, undertakes to assign the use of the facilities of the squares to each of the associations.
In addition, when new concessions of positions in the squares of supplies by the City Council are granted, the report will be taken into account prior report of the associations of merchants.
