The neighborhood of Las Tejeras, in Alcantarilla, celebrates, starting tomorrow and until Sunday, January 26, the festivities in honor of the Virgen de la Paz.
The mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, signed a collaboration agreement with the secretary of the association that organizes the neighborhood festivities, Juan Martínez Romero, for the celebration of these celebrations.
Buendía said that "the tradition of devotion to the Virgin of Peace dates back to the thirteenth century. In the eighteenth century the old hermitage of La Paz was built in the place of the Black Voice and in the 80s the party was celebrated in the neighborhood of Las Tejeras, a custom that has remained until today. "
Every day, at 9 am, there will be fireworks.
On Wednesday, at 5 pm, at the party venue, there will be popcorn for everyone.
On Thursday, January 23, at 9 pm a large sardine will be held accompanied by Tejero wine in La Era.
On Friday, at 5 pm, a Mass will be celebrated in honor of the Virgin of Peace in the hermitage.
At 20 hours you will taste bread with sobrasada and oil with Tejero wine, and then there will be popular bingo at the party venue.
On Saturday, starting at 11 am, children's games have been organized in the Plaza de Lourdes.
At 4:30 p.m. there will be a parade of floats, parades and dolls, departing from the tracks, and at 6:30 p.m. the "Perigón Band" will perform at the party venue.
Sunday is the closing of the holidays with monkeys and chocolate, at 10 am, at the party grounds.
At 13 hours campaign mass has been organized, in the party grounds, in honor of the Virgen de la Paz, and in the afternoon, at 16:30 hours, the pilgrimage of Our Lady of Peace will be celebrated from her hermitage .
