The ITV of Alcantarilla has a pilot project of the Autonomous Community of installation of solar panels for "zero consumption" of energy.
This energy self-consumption initiative will allow obtaining all the electricity necessary for the operation of the ITV from the 136 solar panels installed on the roof.
The mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, and the Minister of Enterprise, Industry and Portavocía, Ana Martínez Vidal, visited the installation today, the first ITV of the Region with this system that will produce 65,500 kilowatt hours per year, and avoid the emission every year to the atmosphere of 25,102 kilograms of CO2.
Joaquín Buendía said that "Alcantarilla is a pioneer in the installation of solar panels in municipal facilities. In our city, 20 sports halls have photovoltaic installations since 2011, which means an annual saving of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere of 640 tons, and that the City Council receives an annual average of 91,000 euros for the sale of electricity production. "
These energy saving systems are located in the sports halls of Las Tejeras, San José Obrero, Eusebio Martínez, Vistabella, La Asunción, Jacinto Benavente, Nuestra Señora de la Salud, Campoamor, Jara Carrillo, San José Obrero and del HEI Sanje;
as well as the Fausto Vicent, Jara Carrillo, Magritas, La Salud, the municipal swimming pool, the Pedro Hernández Caballero Day Center, the Infanta Elena Cultural Center and the municipal deposits.
In total, they have an installed capacity of 1,115 kilowatts, and their annual average production is 1.6 million kilowatt hours.
