The Department of Sports of the City of Alcantarilla has convened the IV edition of the City of Alcantarilla Sports Merit Awards that recognize the work carried out in the 2018/2019 season by athlete, clubs, media, entities that promote sports and sports career .

The proposals for the awarding of prizes may be made by clubs and other sports entities, other non-sports entities but linked to sport, the media, active athletes as well as athletes already retired from major competitions, Universities, Professional College, associations of managers of the Region of Murcia or linked to sports in Alcantarilla.

Likewise, the Department of Sports may submit proposals for awarding prizes, in accordance with the suggestions that citizens can send them by email to the following address sports@ayto-alcantarilla.es.

The deadline for submission will be fifteen business days from tomorrow, as the bases have been published today at www.alcantarilla.es.

The prizes awarded are: the most outstanding athlete, the most outstanding athlete, the athlete with the most outstanding functional diversity, the athlete with the most outstanding functional diversity, the most prominent team or club, the sporting event or best result at the level international, to the most outstanding sporting trajectory, to the entity that has most supported the sport in school age, to the entity that has most supported the sports volunteering movement in Alcantarilla, to the means of dissemination that has more and better supported and disseminated the sports reality of the municipality and the non-sports entity that most strongly supported the sport of the municipality.

In addition, the Fausto Vicent Award for Sports Merit will be awarded, a special mention given to recognize the work carried out by the sport in Alcantarilla.

The jury will consist of the Councilor for Sports of the City Council, a representative of the General Directorate of Sports, a journalist, the president of a sports federation, a teacher and a teacher of Physical Education and a president of a municipality club.
