Today, Alvalle exports 50% of the production of its Murcia plant, becoming ambassador of the Mediterranean diet and Spanish cuisine
Alvalle, PepsiCo's refrigerated gazpacho brand, has been awarded the Export Award by Promarca.
This category recognizes the export capacity of brands as a way to generate value, and distinguishes those products that have managed to open to other countries, rewarding the effort on the part of manufacturers.
Alvalle, from Murcia, is the leading brand gazpacho in Spain and other European countries. 50% of the production is exported to countries such as Russia, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Portugal, United Kingdom and France.
In this last market, Alvalle created the category of cold soups, in which he has become the undisputed leader.
The case of France is especially representative of Alvalle's export capacity, and of his commitment to become an ambassador for the Mediterranean diet and Spanish cuisine.
In addition to the Original Gazpacho and Salmorejo, Alvalle has developed other varieties of gazpachos adapting to the French consumer: Gazpacho Verde, Gazpacho de Pimiento, Gazpacho de Cucumber and Mint, Gazpacho de Mint and Basil, Gazpacho de Melía or Gazpacho de Melón y Cucumber.
In August 2017, PepsiCo announced the investment of 37 million dollars in a new Alvalle plant in Alcantarilla, Murcia.
The new factory, which will start producing this year, will allow Alvalle's production to increase by 50% in order to grow both in Spain and abroad.
