Lieutenant Colonel Casas, head of the EZAPAC, says goodbye to the mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, after his promotion and new destiny at the Headquarters of the Air Force (10/09/2019)

In the morning of today the mayor, Joaquín Buendía, has received in the City Council of Alcantarilla, the lieutenant colonel head of the Squadron of Parachute Sappers of the Air Force (EZAPAC), Juan Carlos Fernández Casas, in the already traditional farewell that takes out before his release in the military command, after his promotion to colonel, which will be as soon as the Official Defense Bulletin publishes it, not beyond the end of the week.

Lieutenant Colonel Casas took possession of the EZAPAC headquarters on August 4, 2017 and now with his promotion he leaves this Unit that is located in the Alcantarilla Air Base, marching to his new destination in Madrid, at the Army Headquarters from air.

Today, precisely the Official Defense Bulletin publishes the appointment of the new head of the EZAPAC, Lieutenant Colonel Juan José Arbolí Nebot, having planned his inauguration for the first days of October.

The mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, said that 'it is clear that the dynamism of the personnel of our Armies and in this case that of the Squadron of Parachute Sappers of the Air Force, in addition to its preparation and continuous training for the different operations to which they have to face each other, they also carry the mobility of their professionals who are growing, developing, and well, today we dismiss a great lieutenant colonel, Lieutenant Colonel Casas, who leaves us.

Buendía indicated that 'Leave the command of the Parachute Sappers and leave it with a very special affection to Alcantarilla, the same one that he has always shown with his collaborations and support in our events and propitiating that very special symbols are present next to the name of the city of Alcantarilla, at the entrance of the EZAPAC facilities, as it was under its mandate - with the delivery of the monolith sculpture that recalls since last year, the 25th anniversary of the deployment of the TACP (Aerotactic Control Equipment) in Afghanistan .
