The Department of Sports of the City of Alcantarilla has begun the works of replacement of the sports floor of the two paddle courts located in the Ángel Sornichero Municipal Sports Center.

The works consist of the replacement of the current artificial turf, which is deteriorated by the intense use, by a new one.

One hundred percent polyethylene synthetic grass carpet, UV resistant, reinforced with a needle felt layer is being installed.

The total investment is about 10,000 euros and the works will be completed this week.

The Councilor for Sports, Antonio Martínez, visited the facility to check the progress of the work and advanced that "from next week users can enjoy the paddle tennis courts."
