Four days after taking office again as Mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía has designed the delegation of municipal powers in the 11 councilors who together with him constitute the Popular Party group in the new Municipal Corporation, after the last elections on May 26.

Buendía stressed that this distribution of skills, more extensive than in the last legislature to have 4 more councilors, will allow a greater and closer monitoring of each area and launch more projects, not forgetting the greater capacity that will Now the Sewer Government to reach each and every citizen.

No doubt the Department of Urban Development, together with the Department of Development of the City and Historical Heritage, and the Department of Economic Development are going to be the true engines of growth in the city.

The first of these, Urban Development, because it will be responsible for the approval and implementation of the recently drafted General Plan for Urban Planning, which will allow order and develop urban land and economic activities in the city.

The second, of Development of the City and Historical Heritage, because it will be responsible for all the maintenance services of the city, public works (such as the theme park of the Aqueduct of the Noria or the Circunvalación Sur) and the restoration of the historical heritage.

And the third engine will be the Department of Economic Development, responsible for the increase for investments for the industrial development of the municipality and its tourist development and that of its May Festivities.

The new Department of Organization and Public Procurement, headed by Francisca Terol, will be responsible for the coordination of the whole municipal organization and to expedite the procurement of goods and services for all areas.

In addition, councilor Terol will act as First Lieutenant Mayor and Spokesperson of the Popular Party group in the sewer plenary.

Another novelty in the new municipal structure of Sewer is the Department of Transparency, Communication and Modernization, whose main mission will be to expand the systems of social participation in the consistory, reaching maximum transparency in information and maximum dissemination of municipal actions .

In addition, it will manage the IT area to coordinate increasing the already extensive technological organization of the City Council.

The Department of Social Welfare incorporates the terms Family and Women, to give greater relevance to the central role of the family as the core of all the social assistance offered by the City Council and to highlight the enormous work of the council in aid and protection policies to the woman in the municipality.

In short, a team of 12 members, including Mayor Buendía, who will govern these next four years with an absolute majority, but for whom the dedication, effort and daily delivery to each of the citizens of Alcantarilla is the basic principle of his work at City Hall.

Buendía concluded by noting that "this larger team will allow it to be closer to each sewer and consolidate its goal of being the Mayor of all citizens of Sewer."
