detail of Alcantarilla

Alcantarilla was concentrated today as a sign of condemnation and rejection of the municipality by the already 1000 women killed by gender violence since 2003 (14/06/2019)

On the morning of today in the Plaza de San Pedro, at the gates of the Sewer City Council, a rally has been held and a minute of silence has been observed, with the reading of a manifesto, at a price of the acting councilor of Social Welfare and Health, Francisca Terol, as a sign of condemnation and rejection of the municipality to any type of violence in our society.

All this in light of the information that has recently been offered, where 1000 women were murdered for gender violence since 2003, the year in which they began to be officially recorded.

As Francisca Terol has indicated, in the reading of the manifesto, "since 2003 that the cases of violence against women began to be counted, the first Diana victim of 28 years, until the last Beatriz of 29 years, have passed 16 years of campaigns of sensitization from the Ministry of Health, Consumption and Social Services, sometimes focused on the abuser, "Before the abuser zero tolerance", others with positive messages to the victims telling them that "there is a way out, young people have also been the target of these campaigns, "If your boy scares you, tell him."

"The truth and truth is that sometimes we have the feeling that nothing works and that we are at the beginning." My message continued today in his manifesto Francisca Terol-it has to be a message of hope with the certainty that we will continue working all from our scope of action to eliminate this drama of society.

"We will not decay in discouragement and we will continue working with the youngest ones, thinking about the future in respect for everyone and in equality between men and women.Today we pay a tribute with this minute of silence to those THOUSAND murdered women, to their children and daughters, fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters and all those who suffer for his death.
