The Governing Council of the Region of Murcia, held in Alcantarilla on February 13, agreed the help of half a million euros from the Ministry of Employment, Universities, Business and Environment to the Conservation and Maintenance of the Industrial Estate West (Endeco), to contribute to the improvement and modernization of the Polygon's infrastructures, basically to resurface actions to adapt the infrastructures of what is one of the main business poles of the Region.
The mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, who has been along with the president of the Association of Employers of the Industrial West, Antonio Castillo, those who have been behind this project was carried out, have visited the actions that are being carried out , along with the Councilor for Public Safety, Works and Services, Juan Antonio Mata and technicians of the concessionaire company.
The roadway improvements are being carried out, according to the project, in the streets of Ecuador, Colombia, Uruguay, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Venezuela, Juan de la Cierva and Avenida del Descubrimiento, a total of 48,257 square meters of existing road
It is estimated a duration of the work of 2 months, progressively undertaking the streets allowing access to the ships and cutting the shortest possible time, for which the contractor will develop a work plan coordinated with the developer for the least interference with the normal operation of the polygon.
We must remember that the West Industrial Estate has an area of â€‹â€‹about three million square meters and hosts more than 1,250 companies that employ more than 15,000 workers. The actions will impact on the own safety of the movements of the vehicles of the workers themselves , as well as to facilitate a more fluid traffic within the Polygon itself.
