Neither the rain could deprive in the morning today the event organized by the Town Hall Sewer and the Archconfraternity of the Most Holy Body of Christ "Lord of the World" and Holy Burial, discovering the plates that have been made in tiles to name the now called avenue Cristo Yacente, act that has been chaired by the mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía and the Big Brother, José Sánchez del Cerro, an act framed in the program that the Archconfraternity among others, to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the donation of the image from the Murcian sculptor José Planes by the City Council to said Archconfraternity.
The avenue had its change of nomination already in April of 2015 by plenary agreement, passing from Fernando III the Saint to the existence of another street dedicated to San Fernando - by the one of Christ Yacente, at the request of those years of the Archconfraternity itself.
The attendees included the chief colonel of the Alcantarilla Air Base, Francisco Javier Fernández, the diocesan delegate for Brotherhoods and Brotherhoods of the Diocese of Cartagena, Marcial Alarcón, as well as members of the Municipal Corporation, as well as representatives of brotherhoods and sewer guilds and the Archconfraternity itself.
After the discovery of the plaque, the chaplain of the Board of Fraternities and Brotherhoods Pasionarias, and parish priest of the Church of San Pedro, José Antonio Moreno, proceeded to the blessing of it.
After the words of gratitude on the part of Brother Mayor to the City Council to complete the agreement in a very special year for them and the subsequent mayor, attendees went to the roundabout entrance to IES Sanje, to see the other plaque announcing the avenue and that they have been made with tiles from Alfarería Martín de Lorca, by Hermanos Larios SL.
