Buendía: "The PP is committed to a future region with policies focused on families" (14/02/2019)

Proposals on family and social policies will be analyzed, which will include the electoral program for the May 2019 elections.

"Only the Popular Party is committed to a Region of the future by focusing on the needs of families," said Deputy Secretary of Electoral, Studies and Programs and Mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, who has appeared at a press conference with Violante Tomás, vice secretary of Regional Social Action.

For Joaquín Buendía "we analyzed closely the concerns of all Murcia to make the Region a land of new opportunities, because our ideas are our strength".

His intervention has served as a framework to present the regional convention 'Towards a great region of opportunities' that the PP will hold next Saturday in Alcantarilla and that will be closed by the regional president of the formation, Fernando López Miras, and which will also intervene the spokesperson of the GPP in the Congress of deputies, Dolors Montserrat.

Buendía has detailed that "in this discussion forum we have civil society to whom we will listen to incorporate in our government program, after the elections in May, their contributions in the area of ​​family, social policies and future challenges", to emphasize that "We work together with associations and the rest of civil society to make a better region, the Region of Murcia of the future, that of equal opportunities, where the center is the people".

In this regard, explained that social commitment and support for families "has been a priority for the PP government in this term with measures such as free textbooks, improvements in the health system, or lower taxes among others."

TWO WORK PANELS FORMED BY REPRESENTATIVES OF ASSOCIATIONS AND FAMILIES THAT WILL ANALYZE SOCIAL POLICIES AND CHALLENGES OF THE FUTURE

A convention that will consist of two work panels.

This has been explained by Tomás Violante, who will moderate the first and who will have representatives of associations with speakers such as Gonzalo Sánchez, president of the Association of Large Families of the Region, Chechu Romero, president of the Red Madre Association, and Carmen Gil, vice president of the Regional Committee of Persons with Disabilities, CERMI.

The second working panel entitled 'Challenges of the future' will be moderated by the regional vice president of the regional PP, Mª del Carmen Pelegrín and the speakers will be the president of the Venezuelan Association of the Region of Murcia, Verónica Barcenilla, Damián Antonio Jara, responsible for logistics in MRS.

To conclude, Violante Tomás explained that some of the measures included in the electoral program will come from the panels.
