Rain does not prevent Sewer from commemorating with schools and 5-year-old students the 20N Universal Day of the Child (20/11/2018)

The rain tarnished, but did not prevent the act with more than 500 students from eleven Sewer colleges.

In this way we wanted to announce that on November 27 in Oviedo, our City Council will receive the seal of Ciudad Amiga de la Infancia, after being elected by UNICEF, along with other Spanish municipalities

The morning was tremendously gray and even a small downpour made an appearance in the course of the meeting organized by the City Hall Sewer, through the Department of Education, along with schools in our town, to commemorate the 20N, Universal Day of the Niñ @, with the reading of the preamble and the 10 principles proclaimed in the United Nations Charter, made from the balcony of the City Council.

All this as a preamble to the delivery in Oviedo on November 27 of the Child Friendly City Seal that UNICEF gives us, which is why the president of UNICEF was also present and addressed to the children in the morning. Region of Murcia, Amparo Marzal, announcing itself with a banner for a few days in one of the balconies of the City Council.

Five-year-old boys and girls will arrive with banners and the banner that reflects the "right or principle" that each of them has contributed, one per participating Center, Jacinto Benavente, Ntra. Sra. De la Asunción, Jara Carrillo, Ntra. Sra. De la Salud, Las Tejeras, San José Obrero, Campoamor, Vistabella, Eusebio Martínez, Sagrado Corazón and Samaniego.

With the preamble made by some students of the school Jacinto Benavente, the rest continued with the reading of the rights from the balcony of the City Council to complete the 10 rights, at the conclusion of the reading, the president of UNICEF in the Region of Murcia, Amparo Marzal and the mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, addressed the audience to thank them for their participation and to highlight the celebration of Universal Children's Day and the recognition of UNICEF to Alcantarilla as the Child Friendly City., Objective of the event.

Next November 27, the Town Hall of Sewer, will receive along with other Spanish city councils, among them those of Bullas, Calasparra, Campos del Río, Cartagena and San Pedro del Pinatar, the acknowledgments of the Child Friendly City UNICEF 2018, distinctions that will be delivered at the gala to be held at the Palace of Exhibitions and Congresses of Oviedo.
