Sewer Mayor Lazaro Sanchez Mellado, along with the president of the Federation of Peñas festive Sewer, Salvador Conte and the Deputy Mayor for Culture and Festivals, Patricio Perez have opened in the morning the sculpture of the Witch in Cayita Square, next to the fireplace in the old factory of Essence, the work of local artist Michael Belchí, "also attended the event, created in forged iron, in homage to the Peñas Sewer festive and all club members that over 39 years and have been enlarging the parade with festivities in our city.
The event has received strong representation from all clubs belonging to the Federation of Peñas festive and Cultural Sewer, composed of 23 clubs at present and more than 500 components.
The symbol of the Witch at our parties is present since 1989, taking the tradition of the same, based on the events in the late Middle Ages and early Renaissance in our town and its surroundings, focusing on the existence House of the Holy Office (Building Heritage Site of a national on 24 July 1982 and the current headquarters of the local Municipal Library), also known as House Cayita the last family that lived there, as facade is the heraldic shield of the Inquisitorial Tribunal, the cross flanked by sword and laurel.
