The Plan invests more than 30 million euros in new sports facilities for the municipalities of the Region (25/05/2010)

The Government of Spain has transferred more than 11.3 million Sewer between 2009 and 2010

The Government delegate, Rafael González Tovar, and the mayor of Sewell, Lazarus Mellado, inaugurated this morning the new Sports Hall at the College Campoamor in this town.

The work has had a cost of 1,364,160 euros and have created 24 jobs, of which 9 are newly created and 15 persons within the company awarded the contract.

The new pavilion will also provide service to the College Campoamor during school hours, in addition to meeting the demands of athletes and other users.

This new pavilion with indoor sports center has a multipurpose room, two dressing rooms for monitors, storage, control, public toilets, sports apparel, bleachers for 138 people and machinery rooms and facilities.

The facility has pre-installed heating and air conditioning.

It also features sheets and panels to reduce noise impact.

Tovar Gonzalez stressed that the Local Investment Fund 2009 has allowed the significant improvement of sports facilities in the Region of Murcia.

In particular, he recalled, in the region are carrying out 86 projects with an investment of 30,811,419 euros to create 2,129 jobs, of which 1,391 are newly created and 738 of persons within enterprises.

Among the projects cited by the delegate, plus facilities in Sewell opened today, the new Sports Hall of Cieza (2,462,971 euros), the new indoor heated pool Lorca (2,037,551 euros), the new Sports Centre Aljorra in Cartagena (1,696,680 euros) and improvement works Beniel Sports Complex (1 million euros).

He also stressed that thanks to the State Fund to install artificial turf football fields in 22 municipalities for a total of more than 8.6 million euros.

The delegate said that "sport is a human activity that strengthens our social, educational and cultural as well as being a factor for integration, participation in social life, tolerance, acceptance of differences and respect for standards, but also "added" the State Fund's investments 2009 we have demonstrated that it creates jobs, both during the execution of the works, and afterwards, to keep open sports facilities available to all people. "

More than 11.3 million euros between 2009 and 2010

González Tovar has also reported that between the State Fund of 2009 and the new State Fund for Employment and Local Sustainability, 2010, the City Sewer Government of Spain receives more than EUR 11,389,000 to be funded with a total of 20 construction projects are creating over 260 direct jobs and two social spending projects that will have 7,125 beneficiaries.
