PSOE Councillors try to save the life of a girl in a neighborhood parties (09/05/2009)

Note from PSOE:

The councilors and Mari Carmen Delia Ortiz Mengual and Toni Tovar, Social Welfare Secretary of the Executive of the PSOE in Sewell, left the festival of San Pancrazio, after witnessing the death of a 15 year old girl in the street.

The three socialist leaders came to her rescue from the first minute, and called 112 at 19:45 pm.

The ambulance did not arrive until 25 minutes after the place where lay the girl, despite being supposedly on the health center of town.

To make matters worse, the ambulance was not prepared to meet the girl, "who was lying on the floor, unconscious, cyanotic lips and without the ambulance could attend to, so they had to call another, which was as led "and denouncing the Socialist leaders.

This accumulation of nonsense has been described as "scandalous" and has prompted a formal protest by the local PSOE, whose delegation has withdrawn from the party in mourning with the family of the victim.

The secretary general of the PSOE in Sewell, Alfonso Martinez, has claimed that "the chaos that has gripped the Health Service of Murcia has led to the disaster that was the speech yesterday, which ended with the death of a child."

Alfonso Martinez recalls that "the Socialist Party has repeatedly denounced the Murcia Health Service does not have enough ambulances to cover the population of Area 1," and as "a scandal" that neither the City nor the Department Sewer of Health have not moved a finger to fix this problem.

Sewer is in the so-called Area 1, which covers the metropolitan area of Murcia, the Middle and Upper vegas Segura, and the county of River Mula.

For all this population, the Health Service of Murcia has only two Advanced Life Support ambulances (UVI - 061), which was what had to intervene yesterday.

As for the ambulance from the Emergency Department of Primary Care (PCES), is based in Sewell Health Center, but "their coverage area is huge, which is rarely available, as had happened yesterday, because of otherwise you can not explain that it took almost half an hour to travel a few meters, "he says Alfonso Martínez.
