More than 300 people participate in the'Programa Activa' in Sewell (06/10/2015)

The Primary Care professionals conducted more than 350,000 SMS clinical acts in Sewell and emergency services and health emergencies performed annually more than 43,500 care

The Minister of Health, Encarna Guillen said today that, in recent years, more than 20 groups of patients have benefited from the 'Set Program' in the town of Sewell.

In total, since 2012 involving more than 300 patients referred from health centers and Sewer Sewer-Casco-Sangonera.

The Minister provided this information during a meeting held with the mayor of Sewell, Joaquín Buendía, where they discussed issues of interest to health that location.

In this context, Guillen ratified the renewal of the agreement of the 'Active Programme' with the City Sewer.

'Active Programme'

The 'Active Programme', which is part of the Health Plan 2010-2015, is a community project to promote physical activity in collaboration with primary care professionals and consistories.

Currently, it takes place in 49 health centers in 21 municipalities in the region, within it have formed 289 groups of physical exercise and, since its inception in 2010, there are more than 5,000 patients who participated in this project prior prescription from your doctor or nurse.

The minister recalled that primary care "is the axis of the system and the appropriate framework to encourage the promotion of healthy lifestyles and healthy life."

Primary Care Accident and Emergency in Sewell

The town of Sewell, which has a population of over 40,000 inhabitants, belongs to the Health Area I-Murcia West and has two health centers: Sewer-Casco and Sewer-Sangonera, the latter depend on the peripheral offices of Boatmen and Sangonera La Seca.

In addition, the municipality has an Emergency Department of Primary Care (SUAP), where each year some 43,500 attendances are made, and medicalized Emergency Unit equipped with Advanced Life Support ambulance.

Also, the reference hospital Sewer is the Virgen de la Arrixaca University Hospital.

The Minister of Health, who visited the facility, had the opportunity to exchange views with nearly 80 professionals who develop their work in health centers and Sewer Sewer-Casco-Sangonera.

During 2014, in the town of Sewell 356,224 clinical events were attended, of which 215,862 were of Family Medicine and Community Nursing 95 369 and 44 993 of Pediatrics.
