The complaint of an employer leads to the arrest of six people for extortion, threats and scam (13/09/2013)

National Police agents have arrested six people who have been extorting for several months to a local resident Sewer Murcia.

The investigation began after recovering high-end smartphone at a shop rummage sales in the city of Murcia.

The theft of this phone inside a vehicle parked in the street had been terminated at an earlier date by the owner.

The steps performed from the phone recovery allowed agents to track down the person who had sold the terminal and it was found that the complaint had been distorted because the phone had not been abducted but, together with another similar had been voluntarily surrendered by its owner to a third party in settlement of a debt.

Subsequently, the mobile had been sold on site by a woman related to the creditor.

The researchers could find that the relationship between the seller of the phone and the complainant was more complex than it seemed at first.

So, it was learned that, due to non-payment and dismissal of a worker who had been in the service of the complainant, in early summer both this and his partner and both families had begun to suffer threats, coercion and even attacks people linked with the creditor.

At the same time, the amount claimed was being increased periodically by the former employee, who had agreed to work without a contract to avoid losing social benefits for 1,200 euros of which was the beneficiary.

During this time, the complainant had come to deliver some amounts of money, a car and a wristwatch in debt and had finally agreed to deliver two high-end mobile phones to finish repaying the same.

After checking the facts, we proceeded to locate and arrest those responsible for the events investigated.

So, we proceeded to the arrest of six people of Spanish nationality aged 21 to 35, on suspicion of fraud offenses against freedom and against physical integrity, while the complainant has been accused by simulation of crime.

Since some of those involved left the city of Murcia when they knew they had been reported, arrests have dilated over the past two months.

All have already been brought to justice.

The research was carried out by agents of the National Police station in Sewell.
