The autonomous funds a project to rescue the social exclusion of 45 youngsters from two neighborhoods Sewer (01/03/2011)

The Autonomous Community financed 34,476 euros to the City Sewer for 45 young people, gypsies, the neighborhoods of San José Obrero Campico and leave the situation or risk social exclusion through a rehabilitation project undertaken in 2009 and 2010 by the Marist Brothers.

This afternoon, the Minister of Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana, visited the center, which displays the work of participants in courses and workshops.

He was accompanied by Mayor Sewell, Lazarus Mellado, the general director of Pensions, Assessment and Inclusion Programs, John Brown, and the provincial of the Marist Brothers of the Mediterranean Province, brother Antonio Jiménez de Bagües.

The purpose of the project, which continues, currently 25 registered, is to intervene with young people socially excluded or at risk of being, two of the most deprived districts in the municipality of Sewer to facilitate employment and social inclusion through actions of prevention .

The main lines of work are finding training resources and / or professionals, such as pre-employment training, occupational or professional, offered in public and private, which is conducive to the promotion and personal development and their skills and capabilities.

Also conducted training workshops to acquire basic skills, especially literacy and numeracy, with practical applications for daily life.

And it works in search of employment through skills training and plastics (printing and ceramics), photography, training and advice on food nutrition and food handling.

Also discussed issues such as social skills and self-esteem, including activities such as theater and body language, conflict resolution techniques and impact on daily life positive and negative thoughts.

Also taught courses about healthy lifestyles, domestic violence, sexual education, drugs and other substances, alcoholism at an early age, dropping out and undervaluation of women.

And he practiced leisure with cultural excursions, tours, film forum and workshop of flamenco.

The direct beneficiaries are 45 young people between 16 and 26 years and belong to 40 families of the two neighborhoods.

The project manager is the brother Marco Cianca Marist, which has had a team of 12 volunteers and two social workers to carry out its work in the Integral Center of San Jose Obrero, assigned by the City.

In addition to the grant of the Directorate General of Pensions, Assessment and Inclusion Programs, have also received donations from individuals and private entities such as Cajamurcia.
