Alcantarilla creates an innovative APP to communicate with its citizens (16/03/2018)

Alcantarilla is one of the first municipalities in the Region of Murcia that will offer its citizens a mobile application to be informed of all the news of the city where they live as well as offer the possibility of interacting with municipal services.

Today, the innovative APP "Alcantarilla SmartCity", with the counselor of Citizen Participation and Transparency, Noelia Arroyo, the mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía and the general director of Hidrogea, Javier Ybarra, was presented at the Center for Citizen Participation. .

All those who download the APP 'Alcantarilla SmartCity' on their mobile phones, whether Android or IPhone, may have updated information on time, water consumption, leisure, cultural events and sports that are offered in the city.

In addition, with this application, the City Council intends to be more accessible and transparent, as well as foster the relationship with its citizens in an agile and comfortable way.

Through this platform users can communicate to their City Council any damage they find in the city, request or suggest the actions they consider necessary and request information on different issues.

In the same way, they will be able to receive real-time notifications in their mobile phones regarding possible incidents, wind / rain alerts, cultural events, sports events or any other information that may be of interest to them.

For its part, the City will request the opinion of the sewers through different surveys to improve the municipality making citizens protagonists in decision-making.

Hidrogea, a company that provides distribution and sanitation services in Alcantarilla, has gone a step further by putting at the service of citizens an innovative and modern application with which it aims to facilitate day to day life in the city.

For this, it has collaborated with the Sewer City Council to offer this municipality the first implementation of this Smart product.

This version is the first step that the Town Hall of Sewer, faithful to its idea of ​​modernizing the administration and the relationship with its neighbors, gives to get the information to the citizens in a modern, fast and comfortable way.

This application will continue to evolve in future versions to increase its performance in a bid for continuous improvement and new technologies.

This App is prepared to collect more utilities as demanded by the sewers.
