The Assembly urges the Government of Spain to promote the baipas that take out the railways from the Sewer Center (15/03/2018)

The Popular Party has taken forward the motion discussed today in the plenary of the Regional Assembly in which urges the Government of Spain to promote the necessary agreements with the Port Authority of Cartagena to run the Sewer pipe, to remove the center of the municipality the Cartagena-Chinchilla railway line.

The motion has counted on the vote against the PSOe and the abstention of Ciudadanos y Podemos.

A performance that as recalled, the deputy of the popular parliamentary group, Juan Guillamón, is a work historically demanded by the neighbors since the passage of the railway is a vital condition for the urban configuration of the municipality and creates situations of risk due to traffic permanent vehicles and pedestrians in the existing level crossing in the urban area.

The regional deputy of the PP has indicated that the Minister of Development, Ãñigo de la Serna pledged in a recent visit to the municipality to promote this action.

For this, Guillamón has explained that it is necessary to carry out an update of the information study to adapt it to the new railway sector law and to the new conditions established in the corresponding environmental impact declaration in the fastest way, given that it has expired the declaration of environmental impact issued in 2006.

During his presentation, the popular regional deputy has incidido in leaving in the hands of technicians everything that has to do with the layout and the detour of the railway line.

And he has stressed the involvement of the port of Cartagena in the financing of the work, which is a guarantee for its execution.
