The Community exhibits material for the attention of emergencies and makes exhibitions in Sewer for the European Day of 1-1-2 (10/02/2018)

The counselor of the Presidency and Promotion, Pedro Rivera, participated today in the commemorative events of the European Day of 1-1-2, celebrated in the Adolfo Suárez plaza, of Alcantarilla.

Rivera, accompanied by the mayor of this municipality, Joaquín Buendía, said that through this commemorative activity "we wanted to celebrate this day and highlight the great contribution it represents for the safety and well-being of all Murcia this free and available service. 24 hours each and every day of the year. "

"At the same time, we also want to take this action to recognize the work that all emergency services deploy on a daily basis, contributing their work, training and professionalism, but also their generosity, their dedication, and their vocation of service," said the counselor .

Pedro Rivera also influenced the celebration of the twentieth anniversary of the Center for Coordination of Emergencies 1-1-2 Region of Murcia, "so this holiday is another way to commemorate two decades of intense and fruitful activity."

The acts began at 10:00 in the morning with the opening of tents and exhibition of media and material of the various intervening emergency devices: room of the 1-1-2 Region of Murcia, Community Civil Protection Service, Fire and Rescue Extinction Consortium, Forest Fire Defense Unit, 061, Red Cross, Local Sewer Police, Mountain Rescue Association, Underwater Rescue Group, Canine Rescue Unit, Transmission and Coordination Group, and Services Sewer Civil Protection, Caravaca de la Cruz, Cartagena, Torre Pacheco, Albudeite and Ceutí.

Exhibits were developed on call attention by the Service 1-1-2, practices of locating people by the Canine Salvage Unit of the Region of Murcia, simulations of vertical rescue with zip line by the Mountain Rescue Association, and practices of cardio-pulmonary resuscitation for children by health personnel from 061 and the Red Cross.

Also attending the events were representatives of the National Police Force, the 5th Civil Guard and the Red Cross Zone in the Region, as well as the Civil Protection of the Government Delegation, the General Directorates of the Natural Environment, of the Woman and Equality of Opportunities and Citizen Security and Emergencies.
