The Town Council of Alcantarilla, through the Department of Sports, has the objective of encouraging the practice of physical activity and sport among residents of the municipality, while, at the same time, promotes the necessary sports association for the adequate vertebration of the citizen initiatives tending to the promotion of the sport in our municipality.

The purpose of these agreements is to meet the demand of the population in sports, specifically for the "Development of Sports Schools in municipal facilities," in exercise and compliance with the powers attributed to Local Corporations in the Law 8/2015, of March 24, of the Physical Activity and Sport of the Region of Murcia, which refer to the general promotion of sport and cooperation with other entities to carry out such promotion.

The sports organizations that collaborate are the following:

The development of this program increases the offer both in sports specialties, such as handball and table tennis, as well as in the number of schools in other sports, so it is guaranteed that no one who is interested in practicing any of the sports to be vacated.

The sports specialties offered are ten, comprising a total of 40 sports schools, which will be developed in the sports pavilions and in the municipal sports center.

The activities will start next Monday, October 2 and the information about this is already available in the Department of Sports and in the sports organizations collaborating.
