| It is the fourth consecutive year that the City Council has obtained this badge and the first that meets all the indicators | The Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) has awarded the Alcantarilla City Council the Infoparticipa Seal 2019 with a score of one hundred percent in transparency and public communication.

It is the fourth consecutive year that the City Council has obtained this badge and the first one that meets one hundred percent of the indicators. The City Council has passed to fulfill 26 percent of the indicators in 2015, to one hundred percent last year.

Since 2016 it has always exceeded 92 percent.

The Sewer Transparency Portal has been put up as an example of good practice in the training carried out in town councils taught by the Autonomous University of Barcelona. The Mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, expressed his satisfaction "because one more year the City Council has obtained the Infoparticipa Seal, and this time fulfilling all the indicators.

A commitment to open the City Council to citizens and to offer an efficient and totally effective management transparent".

In addition, Buendía stressed that "unlike other municipalities, the portal is entirely managed by municipal employees, from the design, implementation, reviews and updates, which represents added value and savings." The mayor congratulated all the workers of the different municipal areas who have collaborated to obtain this result. Infoparticipa is a badge awarded by the UAB Laboratory of Journalism and Communication for Plural Citizenship (LPCCP) since 2012, in which researchers from different universities in Spain take part.

It is granted as a result of the evaluation of the municipal websites through 52 indicators, adapted to the Transparency Law, among which are transparency of the members of the corporation, information on the governing bodies, information on plenary sessions, agreements on Government Board, municipal regulations, budget, job offers, assets, contracts, agreements, etc.
