Brilliant Christmas proclamation in Alcantarilla offered by Colonel Jefe of the Air Base, Francisco Javier Fernández (22/12/2018)

Yesterday, the Infanta Elena de Alcantarilla Cultural Center hosted the Christmas Proclamation given by the Colonel Jefe of the Sewer Air Base and director of the Military Parachute School "Méndez Parada", Francisco Javier Fernández Fernández, organized by the Brotherhood of Our Lord Jesus Christ Risen, within the programming of the Cultural Christmas.

Along with the Colonel, the act was presided over by the mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, the president of the Brotherhood, Matías Pagán and the chaplain of the Board of Fraternities and Brotherhoods, José Antonio Moreno.

Before the proclamation, the Brotherhood made its most important recognition, imposing the golden shield of the same, the Distinguished Brother, José Riquelme Oliva, brother of the same since its founding, spent several years as portapasos and today is the cape of litter of the Risen One.

Great Nazarene tradition in the award-winning, for an important period, president of the Board of Brotherhoods and is at this time of the Royal Brotherhood of Our Father Jesus Nazarene and Christ of Calvary.

After the words of the president of the Brotherhood and those of the Mayor, in which he highlighted the importance of the Air Base for Sewer and also for the Brotherhood of the Resurrected, who on Easter Sunday celebrated the 25th anniversary of the traditional Encuentro, in Entrevia , where the Air Force has an active part when performing a parachute jump, most of the years, of the PAPEA, with a release of petals at the moment of that Risen Encounter with the Virgin of Beautiful Love.

Expectant and brilliant was undoubtedly the proclamation offered by Colonel Fernandez, with certain surprises, also novel about previous proclamations, as it could be combining the same with a videographic images that were sent expressly by the sewer Lieutenant Colonel Moll, who is in one of the Spanish contingents of humanitarian aid of the Air Force, deployed in Gabon, with messages of the importance of the work they do in these countries and where Spanish soldiers, including the Lieutenant Colonel himself, sang in Spanish a Christmas carol along with the children of that country.

The surprise was given by Francisco Javier Fernández, as he wrapped himself up and gave greater splendor and brilliance to his proclamation, with the interpretation of three Christmas songs, offered by his daughter Miriam Fernández, accompanied on guitar by Luis Salinas.

In short, an important proclamation that wanted to be seen from the aspect of how a soldier lives Christmas, especially when it is far from the family.

Without ceasing to have words of gratitude to the Brotherhood and to give an account of the emotion and great beauty of the procession that is of the Resurrected together with the Encuentro en Alcantarilla, enlarging the importance of Holy Week in our city and where he hopes that continue counting on the Air Base to participate in it.

To end the night we had the performance of the Rondalla and Coro of the Group of Folklore "Museum of the Huerta" of Alcantarilla, interpreting Christmas carols and ending with our traditional eagle Murcia.
