A fortnight of unemployed people from Alcantarilla specialize in the care of dependents in social institutions (21/12/2018)

A total of 15 unemployed Sewers have completed a Community program that, after alternating training and paid employment for nine months, have allowed them to acquire qualifications to work as caregivers of dependents in social institutions.

The initiative has had a subsidy of 176,000 euros from the Ministry of Employment, Universities, Business and Environment, through the SEF.

In this way, the participants have received a certificate of professionalism from the SEF's General Director, Severa González, and the Mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, which certifies their competencies in the specialty for which they have been trained and significantly increases their options to find a job as caregivers in occupational centers, day care centers and early care centers.

During the ceremony of diplomas, González stressed that "the good results of these programs show that training is a fundamental pillar for the growth of the Region because, on the one hand, it provides the unemployed with the necessary qualifications to access and remain in the labor market, and on the other, responds to the needs of the productive fabric by training the professionals it needs ".
