Citizens has proposed the development of an ordinance that regulates the use of pyrotechnic devices and fireworks displays in the municipality.
The norm, which should be developed in collaboration with political groups, social agents and with the opening of a participatory process, should regulate "the different festive, religious, cultural or traditional manifestations in which the use of pyrotechnic material is allowed, as well as the places and areas in which this material can be used ", explained the local orange spokesman, Francisco Álvarez.
"The ordinance must also regulate specially protected schedules and spaces, in addition to the requirements and security conditions necessary for this type of spectacle," he added.
"We believe it is necessary to regulate the use of fireworks, in order to make it compatible with the rest and health of the neighbors, because our urban characteristics noise and discomfort derived from the use without control of the pyrotechnics are greater and even affect the animal welfare, "said Alvarez.
